Market report 9th October 2008

October 9 2008

Quality and range was the theme for our purchases this morning at the Victorian Flower market.  All stock lines were in plentiful supply and our growers provided excellent quality product for purchase.  A new variety of Warratah was made available today.  Still with a striking crimson red colour but it has a pretty white blush through the flower head.  King and Queen Proteas are starting to become more plentiful and make an excellent long lasting vase selection.

As far as specials go we are pleased to offer the following lines for special purchase…

Iris’s from Podgers in Camperdown at only $9.90 per bunch are excellent value for this time.  Deon is proud to be picking the rare Purple, Apricot and Yellow varieties.  Be quick for these as they are not available in many outlets at all.

In potted plants we have some magnificent Hydrangea pots in full bloom for only $30 each.  Yes flowering Hydrangeas in Ocotober!!!  a little artificial growing help i’m sure to bloom these spectacular plants at this time of the year. These will make an excellent gift that will continue to give for years after it is given.

In conclusion if it was available in the market today we have got it.  So for the largest range of freshly cut flowers get into Stems and check out our great range and prices.
